Goat Milk Soap Recipe
(by measurements, not weight)
1 cup lard, melted
1 cup Olive oil,
1 cup goat milk
1/4 cup Red Devil lye granules (not flakes or crystals from other
sources)
1/4 cup water
Dissolve the lye in the water.
Ingredients near 110 to 120 degrees F.
Add the lye/water to the fat. Stir in the milk.
Tracing time about 1 hour 15 minutes.
Leave in molds 2 days
Place in freezer 3 hours to help remove soap from molds
Remove soap from molds (or cut if in a large mold)
Age 3 weeks
Natural Detox Shower Scrub
Designed to improve your circulation and help shed toxins through the skin. Great on cellulite.
1/4 cup chopped fresh gingerroot or parsley;
2 Tbls Dead sea salt
Scrub yourself in the shower accenting on cellulite spots. You also can use a detoxifying bath soak just add a body brush body brush (such as cactus bristle) .
Buttermilk & Goat milk Bath
Designed to hydrate and soften dry itchey skin.
1/4 cup dry buttermilk
1/4 powdered dry goat milk
1 tbsp. Cornstarch
1/8 tsp of your favorite essential oil
Combine all the ingredients and use appx 1/4 per bath
Bath Bombs
Fun project for Tweens Birthday Partys
4 Tablespoons Citric Acid
4 Tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup baking soda
3 Tablespoons Monoi de Tahiti Oil (or you can use any other emollient oil like coconut or Almond Oil, )
1/4 teaspoons Fragrance Oil or essential oil (Eucalyptus, peppermint and rosemary is an uplifting blend, great for head colds)
Sift all of the dry ingredients (first three) into a bowl and mix well with wire whisk. Put bottle of oil in warm water to melt oil .
Slowly add oil to dry ingredients, then add fragrance and blend well.
Take 1T of mixture and shape into balls or press (really hard)into molds (such as small chocolate mold) if using molds, pop them in freezer till hard and pop out.
Let the balls rest on a sheet of waxed paper for two to three hours.
Gently reshape if needed.
Let the bombs dry and harden for 24 to 48 hours.
These are fragile so carefully package each bomb in it's own cellophane bag or in a closed container to keep fresh.
Directions for use: To use, drop one bomb into warm bath water to release fragrance and oils. A little bit of heaven right in your bath tub!
Oatmeal Bubble Milk Bath
Great for poisen- ivey bath soak
1 cup powdered buttermilk
1/2 cup fresh quaker oatmeal
1 cup baking soda
4 tbs. corn starch
1/4 cup soap chunks
Using a food processer add chunk soap and oatmeal until grainy. Add powdered milk, baking soda & corn starch .
Add essential rosemary or lavender oil works up nicely
Blend until all ingredients are a powdery consistancy.
Use 1/3 cup to each bath
Lavender Herbal Milk Bath
Sit Back and Relax
1 cup Cornstarch
1 cup powdered goat milk or buttermilk
2 teaspoons essential lavender oil
1/4 cup english lavender buds
Using a food procesor or blender add lavender buds and remaining ingredients.
About a 1/4 for each bath
Homemade Bath Salts
May also be used as a foot spa
Peppermint oil works great to soothe tired swollen feet
1 cup Epsom salt
1 cup dead sea salt
1/2 cup Baking soda
1/4 tsp. essential
Combine all ingredients with wisk in a large bowl.
Store in a large sealed container
Directions for use: Use about 1/4 cup per bath
